Open labs are available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. All lab computers are networked and have Internet access except Cisco and Forensics. Two Apple, one Cisco, and a future Computer Forensics lab. Jefferson State has state-of-the-art computer labs. Options are available for concentrated study in Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, Networking, or Web and Mobile Applications. This curriculum is designed for students planning to enter the field of computer information technology and those, already employed, who need specialized/updated skills required by the computing industry. The AAS degree program is not designed for transfer. Check with your four-year institution for transferability of courses. Associate in Applied Science in Computer ScienceĪ student gains admission to the Associate in Applied Science Program by completing the corresponding certificate program. All course work in a certificate program will apply to the corresponding Associate in Applied Science degree. These certificate programs are designed to prepare students for entry-level employment.

For example, each term, a full-time student should take two to three courses that meet requirements from the student’s chosen option and two to three courses that meet requirements in the General Courses section.
